Description of contents/ agenda | During training program speakers delivered brief knowledge on issues of renewable energy, water efficiency, local and national initiatives for green growth in class and in field trips. Green Economy is a model for sustainable development that results in improved human well being and social equity, while significantly reducing environmental risks and ecological scarcities. Its approach emphasizes the interdependency between “people, plant and profit”. A Green Economy led by entrepreneurship, innovation, new technologies and smart policies will influence a collaborative shift from a brown economy dependent on fossil fuels, to green growth which operates within ecological limits by using low carbon technologies. It aims at meeting the dual goals of human development and low ecological impact.Shri. Hiren Bhendewal, Sr. Project Engineer, Gujarat Cleaner Production Centre, participated and presented the case studies on “Scenario of Green Economy- Indian Perspective. |
