The inauguration was organized by the dignitaries on dias.The technical sessions were conducted wherein, Smt. A.B. Bhatt, General Manager and Deputy Industries Commissioner of District Industrial Commissionerate, Gandhinagar started the session discussing various Incentive Schemes to promote Sustainable Industrial Development in the State of Gujarat under Gujarat Industrial Policy, 2015 by Industries Commissionerate, Government of Gujarat.The session continued inviting Dr. Bharat Jain, Member Secretary, GCPC for his views and presentation. Speaking on the occasion Dr. Jain shared his experience working in the field of Industrial Development in the state of Gujarat and various environmental issues related with it. He discussed the Industrial Scenario of Gujarat, elaborating the concept of ‘Cleaner Production’ a synonym of ‘Pollution Prevention’. He said so far many steps have been taken towards ‘treatment’ and ‘control of pollution’ (PC) but it is the time to move towards (CP) Cleaner Production.He discussed the activities of Gujarat Cleaner Production Centre at various levels.Shri P.R. Rathod, Senior Project Engineer, GCPC graced the occasion giving glimpse of benefits of Cleaner Production implementation including the discussion on various Financial Assistance Schemes provided under Gujarat Industrial Policy, 2015 by Industries Commissionerate, Government of Gujarat on Implementation of Cleaner Production and Clean Technology Measures, Including Incentive Schemes for Setting up Common Environmental Infrastructure Facilities such as Common Effluent treatment Plant (CETP) and Sewage Treatment Plant (STP), Common Boiler etc.He also gave various information on schemes developed by Government of India (central government) for promoting renewable energy, waste management and development of clean technologies. The presentation was informative, which was highly appreciated by the participants.Shri Brijesh Thakker, Chartered Accountant continued the session explaining representatives of industries about the “Goods and Service Tax” (GST) Act, 2017” developed by Ministry of Finance, Government of India.The programme concluded with vote of thanks by Shri Sailesh Patel, President, GIDC Engineering Complex Association (GECA), Gandhinagar. |
