The objective of the 12th APRSCP is to foster dialogue and partnerships among multi-stakeholders about developing and implementing innovative policy solutions, up-scaling technology and knowledge benchmarking, approaches and instruments towards the development and implementation of programmes on SCP in the region.
Description of contents/ agenda
The 12th Asia Pacific Roundtable on Sustainable Consumption and Production (APRSCP) was held from 12-14, July,2016 at Siem Reap, Cambodia.
The objective of the roundtable is to share best practices, experience and initiatives taken in the field of resource efficiency, green growth, green economy and sustainability by the concerned region. Participants from various countries from Asia and Pacific region participated and presented their exemplary work.
Shri Punamchandra Rathod, Senior Project Engineer, GCPC participated and presented the exemplary work done by Gujarat Cleaner Production Centre. Under this he represented various case studies of RECP implementation in different industrial sectors, Planning of New Industrial Parks and Retrofitting of Existing Industrial Estate into Eco Industrial Parks.
He also discussed the role of GCPC in developing eco-industrial parks in Vapi, Gujarat including development of common environmental infrastructure facilities in Vapi GIDC Industrial estate.  He showcased various information in graphical and pictorial format, which was highly appreciated by the experts and participants.
