The Steering Committee Meetings of the project – “Resource Efficient and Cleaner Production” (RECP) Pilot Project to Foster Eco Industrial Development in Eco Industrial Parks in India” awarded by The United Nations Industrial Development Organization(UNIDO) headquartered at Vienna, was organized from 7th – 11th April,2017 at Nandesari and Dahej.
The key attendants of the meeting includes:

Dr. Bharat Jain, Member Secretary, GCPC and Coordinator,ENVIS
Shri P.R. Rathod, Programme Officer, ENVIS
The meeting witnessed participation of International Experts from UNIDO, Senior Officials from GPCB and Nandesari Industries Association.
The meeting was organized to discuss the activities undertaken so far by Gujarat Cleaner Production Centre under this project.
The activities includes
Development of Industrial Symbiosis Facility
Reusing Waste as a by-product by one or more industries
Development of basic infrastructure facilities like road, lighting and storm water drainage systems
Speaking on the occasion Shri P.R. Rathod, Programme Officer, ENVIS discussed about various details required from the stakeholders for executing this project.
On next day 8th April,2017 RECP Training Workshop was organized under the leadership of Dr. Bharat Jain, Member Secretary, GCPC wherein he mentioned about benefits of cleaner production in terms of resource and environmental conservation and in terms of financial savings to individual industries, which was highly appreciated by Dr. Meylan.
One of these meetings and workshop was also organized at Dahej under this project under the leadership of Dr. Bharat Jain, Member Secretary, GCPC.

Shri Hiren Bhendwal, Senior Project Engieer, GCPC including representatives from GPCB, NCTL, Dahej Industries Association.
Speaking on the occasion Dr. Jain, briefed about the current status of the project including the proposed activities under the project. The efforts taken by the centre was appreciated by Expert from UNIDO. The meeting concluded with vote of thanks from Shri. M.A. Hania, President, Dahej Industries Association.
