Gujarat Cleaner Production Centre (GCPC) organized a launching of “Resource Efficient and Cleaner Production” (RECP) Pilot Project to Foster Eco Industrial Development in Eco Industrial Parks in India at Dahej and Nandesari, Gujarat, India, the project awarded by the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO).
The programme was organized in the Conference Room, GIDC, Gandhinagar under the Chairmanship of

Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Bharat Jain, Member Secretary, GCPC gave detailed information on the project including its objectives, proposed activities and expected outcomes.
Shri Hardik Shah, IAS, Member Secretary Gujarat Pollution Control Board mentioned the importance of RECP, by saying that ‘If Industries pursue ‘CP’ (Cleaner Production) then there would be no need to pursue ‘PC’ (Pollution Control). He wished officials of GCPC & UNIDO a great success of this project.
Shri Manoj Aggarwal, IAS, Vice Chairman and Managing Director, Gujarat Industrial Development Corporation (GIDC) & Chairman, GCPC appreciated the efforts of the Dr. Jain and the team of GCPC.
He thanked UNIDO for selecting Gujarat for the Pilot Project he mentioned this is one of our prestigious projects and we hope this project will lead us to Sustainable Industrial Development in the State of Gujarat.
The ceremony concluded with concluding remarks from Shri Arvind Agarwal, IAS, Additional Chief Secretary, Industries and Mines Department, Government of Gujarat shared his views on the project, saying that UNIDO has chosen the right state, proper estates (Dahej & Nandesari) to execute this project and gave best wishes for the project. He assured full support from his side for this project.
