Description of contents/ agenda | The Department of Forests and Environment, Government of Gujarat and Gujarat Cleaner Production Centre (GCPC) has taken initiative to tackle industrial pollution issues, promoting the ‘pollution prevention’ approach called ‘Cleaner Production’ to achieve Inclusive and Sustainable Industrial Development in the state of Gujarat.Gujarat Cleaner Production Centre yearly invites nominations for Gujarat Cleaner Production Award from Small, Medium and Large Scale Industries.The criteria for award includes implementation of Cleaner Production and Clean Technology measures, showcasing of exemplary work in the field of Water and Energy Conservation, Waste Water and Solid Waste Reduction.After receiving nominations, the shortlisted industries are being called for presentation before the GCPA Committee. Based on the decision of committee and physical verification from GCPC officials the awardees are being selected.To represent award to the winners and runners up, Gujarat Cleaner Production Centre organizes Gujarat Cleaner Production Award Ceremony.Gujarat Cleaner Production Centre organized Gujarat Cleaner Production Award Ceremony to represent Award for the year 2013-14 and 2014-15 on 4th December,2016 at Seminar Hall-1, Mahatma Mandir, Gandhinagar, Gujarat.The winners and runners up are being awarded with a trophy, cash prize and a certificate.The event witnessed participation of dignitaries:Shri Shankar bhai Chaudhary, Hon’ble Minister of State Forests & Environment, Government of Gujarat
