Description of contents/ agenda
India Industrial Fair, 2017 is one of the largest industrial trade show of India. It offers participating companies unique platform to exhibit their products and services.
The fair was inaugurated by the Hon’ble Chief Minister of Gujarat Shri Vijaybhai Rupani. The event witnessed participation of dignitaries Shri Shankarbhai Chaudhari, Hon’ble Minister of State Environment and Forests, GoG, Shri Arvind Agrawal, IAS, Chairman, Gujarat Pollution Control Board, Shri Ramakant Bhardwaj, Director, Central Pollution Control Board, New Delhi.  
 The technical sessions were organized under this fair wherein Dr. Bharat Jain, Member Secretary, GCPC was invited for the presentation on Industrial Development and Environmental Conservation on 27th April, 2017.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Jain discussed about the concept of Cleaner Production & Clean Technology including financial assistance schemes for the implementation of Cleaner Production and Clean Technologies under Gujarat Industrial Policy, 2015 including the initiatives of GCPC at Regional, National and International Level.
Dr. Jain shared his experience working in the field of CP & CT saying that so far many steps have been taken to “Control Pollution” but now it is the time to move towards its “Prevention” i.e. Cleaner Production.  He also discussed about “RECP Pilot Project to Foster Eco Industrial Development in Eco Industrial Parks in India at Dahej and Nandesari, Gujarat” awarded by The United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO) and the activities under the project.
The participants appreciated the efforts of Dr. Jain, towards promoting Sustainable Industrial Development in the State of Gujarat.
